100-20,000 in 6 weeks! January 2003.

Riding on the success of the database optimization effort, nextBlock.com retained our consultants' services for another optimization effort - driving online traffic to their site or Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Again, working with in-house staff, we were able to find a means by which to increase their traffic to 20,000 hits a day with a current (tempered) growth rate of 30% per month. At that rate, in a year, the company will enjoy over 60,000 new visitors this year. If the company rolls out to a larger audience, those numbers will soar. We primarily optimized for www.google.com

A digital dashboard and knowledge portal that can help save lives! January 2003

Business to Employee (B2E) portals are a new class of applications designed to integrate and consolidate enterprise information and make it available to the employee from a single point of access. Zengen, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing innovative products to treat and prevent infection and inflammation through application of its patented peptide technologies.

In less than 12 calendar weeks, our consultants customized a state-of -the-art document (and digital asset) management system. A custom designed Patent Management System was integrated into the knowledge portal workflow and the portal is the secure centralized interface to all Financial, Research and Investor information.

A database that is now up at least 50 times faster November 2002 nextBlock.com is a business and services directory currently serving all of California. The database has around 1million businesses and at least as many products and services. The company had received bids advising a database change (from MS SQL Server to Oracle) and even a complete infrastructure overall totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars in investment.

In a little over 6 weeks, working with in-house development staff, and under 200 hours of expert consulting we were able to improve the site's overall performance tremendously. Some queries now run 50-100 times faster than they did when the company called for help. The company now plans to roll out to the rest of the country ahead of schedule, and use its savings for advertising.

We've lost our data again! And where is my Inbox? 24/7 Many of our customers, at first, do not believe that we can (in some cases) save them money and provide world-class service.

Do you have a part-time system administrator who is also your desktop support specialist who is also your network expert? Most of our customers did, until they started to work with us! Now, they have a team of specialists, not 'our man Friday' who sometimes takes the day off for bigger customers.

Experts remain experts so long as they specialize in a few things - which might explain why our people excel! We assign a well-coordinated team of experts to take care of your needs.

How precious is your data, how secure does your research and intellectual property need to be? Can you go a day without email? Do you need secure access to the network from home? Does your administrative staff perform below par because they lack timely technical support? Call for a partial list of our customers that have benefited from our support. We have a host of plans to choose from, customized for your unique needs.

If the plant has a manufacturing schedule, the suppliers have their orders. September 2000 Fleetwood Enterprises, the RV manufacturer and Fortune 500 Company, automated their demand - supply chain with the guidance of our consultants.

With close to 20 plants in the US and Canada, coordinating work schedules from the MRP system to the suppliers indigenous systems was difficult and often resulted in overages, schedule overruns and inordinate delays.

The solution was to build a web based interface to a SQL database that interfaced with the VAX MRP system. Suppliers had up to the day data, and could coordinate their build and supply load with amazing efficiency. And Fleetwood had the benefit of having all of their preferred suppliers on the same system.

Biopharmaceutical start-up builds a solid platform February 2000

Zengen, Inc. was in need of a network as well as support services. We were contracted to provide a turnkey solution that Zengen could grow with. Network infrastructure, servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and all related software were all part of the project.

Within a few weeks Zengen had a 100% functional network. They moved into their new office space with all system ready for use.

The 'turn-key' solution provided Zengen a reliable infrastructure that enabled them to grow without fear of outgrowing their network.

The Big Screen December 1999 Motion Pictures Association (MPA, MPAA) - the Box Office results that you see on the news comes off of a system that our consultants helped bring Live.

The system captures Box Office information via the Web in over 30 reporting countries. The information is stored in a central database in Los Angeles, CA and a custom reports engine produces over 500 report variations and what-if scenarios. Besides news items and statistics the system is especially useful to producers and directors who can reasonably predict results based on a demographic usage patterns stored in the database.

Heart Monitoring Company consolidates legacy databases October 1999 Based on the success of the initial Beverly Glen Medical System (BGMS) project, we were awarded an additional project to consolidate three legacy databases into one easy to use web based system.

BGMS used three different systems to provide services to its Transtelephonic patients. Remote transmission of data, billing, and inventory were not working together causing on a regular basis double data entry. The solution was a web-based system that would allow all three databases to work together as well as provide additional reporting functionality.

The project was a complete success, resulting in increased productivity and well needed reporting functionality.

24/7 Heart Monitoring Company outgrew their systems August 1999 Beverly Glen Medical Systems (BGMS), a Transtelephonic heart monitoring and Holter analyzing company was in need of an upgrade. BGMS was growing at a phenomenal rate; we provided the technology and support to meet their growing needs.

As part of a six-month plan their entire network was restructured with new technology, servers, and desktops. Considering their business model the availability of their network was very important. We were able to upgrade their technology and network with little impact on their daily business operations by working nights and weekends.

The results of the upgrades were recognized almost as soon as the project started; availability of servers and the network in general was up well over 40%.
